In my art journey so far, I have concentrated on animals and people as the subject matter. Part of the reason is the eyes!
Eyes are important, fascinating, and powerful. They convey the personality, soul, and life of the person or animal. William Shakespeare said that the eyes are the window to your soul.
After drawing an outline of the subject, I begin creating the eye to give life to the animal or person at the very start of the project. My first priority is to get the eye right. I want the eye to be as realistic as possible even though the rest of the project might not be.
