Summer Streams

Summer Streams is another hand dyed piece. The colors were more intense than I wanted as my goal was to create a quiet summer scene. I gave the entire piece of fabric a light whitewash with acrylic paint and then I worked to enhance the image with InkTense blocks.
I was pleased with the result capturing the sun streams through the clouds and the depth of the distant trees and the tree in the foreground with the rope swing. The flowers on the near side of the stream add another layer of depth and reminded me of dreamy images of summers long ago.
