The Power of Thought

I was inspired by the quote from Peace Pilgrim, a peace activist of the 1950’s, “If you knew how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.” I am in awe of the fact that one thought can change my world, can change the world around me or change the planet. My goal was to portray how the single firing of an electrical impulse from one neuron to the next can light up the world and change the future. This piece reminds me throughout the day that my challenge is to be mindful of my thoughts as I do I have a choice. Techniques used were fabric weaving, fabric painting, fusion of various fabrics, machine quilted.
