ABOUT PAMELA BURNS

Pamela is a fiber artist based in Indiana and Florida, USA.  She creates art quilts with at least three layers of fabric. Her work is commonly driven by nature, emotion, and photos she takes as an amateur photographer.  She is continually discovering new techniques and media for her original designs.

Pamela enjoys applying multiple surface design techniques on white cotton or silk fabric.  Adding color with paint or dye, printing, and adding texture are ways she enjoys exploring art.  Pamela hopes to use her platform to inspire others and would like to create a connection between herself and the viewer by telling a story, or evoking an emotion with her art.

“The principle of true art is not to portray, but to evoke.” – Jerzy Kosinski
