10 - Ellen has worked most of her adult life as a flight instructor.
9- Now utilizing her teaching expertise at a lower altitude, she enjoys teaching workshops both in-person and online, via Zoom.
8 -Her art skills are entirely self-taught.
7 - She says, “I make art for the pure joy of doing so!” Known for its strong contrasts and vivid colors, her art has been shown throughout the United States, and has been commissioned by several well-known hospitals.
6- Ellen owns approximately 1000 different fabrics, many of them ones she has dyed and printed herself.
5- Her quilts have been seen in many different publications, including two books she’s written.
4- Ellen has appeared on 3 episodes of Quilting Arts TV, and a full episode of The Quilt Show.
3 - She considers experimentation to be absolutely necessary for her artistic growth.
2 - Ellen’s first word was moo. (She grew up on a dairy farm and her playpen was at the barn!)
